Did you know that the most common delicacy of our time was currency and the sacred drink of the Aztecs? Louis XIV’s guilty pleasure? The driving force of the industrial revolution or the inspiration for brilliant artists, from Marcel Duchamp to Roald Dahl?

Through a host of tasty archives, excerpts from classic films like Forrest Gump or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, meetings with the greatest chocolatiers of today like Patrick Roger or Stéphane Bonnat, this documentary tells us the epic story of this unique food of its kind which has continued to transform over time, and which has never ceased to delight us.
